REID DAUGHTER INLAW

While Andy Reid has been enjoying unparalleled success with the Kansas City Chiefs. The head coach’s private life hasn’t been as successful. Did you know he has a daughter-in-law? And that she has filed for divorce because of various issues with the HC’s son.

Kristen Nordland married Britt Reid, HC Andy’s second son, out of five. The couple tied the knot in July 2012. Their relationship happened and thrived because of football! However, it wasn’t a smooth sail for them as legal troubles followed Britt. It eventually culminated in a divorce filing in 2023.

Kristen Nordland got dealt a rough hand

Kristen met Britt while she was working as a media relations intern for the Philadelphia Eagles. During the time, the same NFL team also employed the father-son duo. “(Our) marriage relationship has been destroyed and we can no longer live together as husband and wife”, stated Kristen in her divorce filings. The couple had been married for more than a decade. Kristen has three children with Britt as well, daughters Somers and Saylor, and a son, Maverick.

However, the exact details of the divorce proceedings are unclear at this moment. Kristen has stopped posting on all of her social media accounts since the divorce filing became known to the public. The Philadelphia native has also paused her website as well, where she sold her coveted outfits to her fans.

Kristen is a public relations and communications graduate from Temple University. Before marrying the former Chiefs’ coaching staff, Britt, she excelled in her modeling career. After the marriage, she became a sought-after influencer for all things Chiefs. And many wonder if it was Britt’s extensive run-ins with the law that caused this breakdown of marriage.

Andy Reid has to deal with his troubled son

Britt’s legal troubles began in 2007 when he was sentenced to 8 to 23 months in prison on drug charges. The same year, he was involved in a road rage incident as well, which was settled out of court. The following year, he stepped into the coaching role just like his dad. And continued to be a part of the Chiefs’ coaching staff until 2020.

However, the worst was yet to come for the 38-year-old. Merely a few days away from the Super Bowl LV, Reid was under the influence of alcohol and drugs when he crashed into cars, according to the court. He was sentenced to 3 years of prison, which recently has been amended to house arrest till 2025.
