Patrick Mahomes’ message wipes away criticism and fills Chiefs fans with hope

Patrick Mahomes and the Kansas City Chiefs will have to play the postseason for the first time as visitors in the era of their brilliant quarterback, but that’s no reason to lose breath, at least that’s what the man who already knows what it’s like to win the Vince Lombardi Award said.

Patrick Mahomes and the hopes of the Chiefs

The Chiefs will now look to continue the momentum into their final regular season game against the LA Chargers to go into the Playoffs full of confidence, and Mahomes believes they are well equipped to take on anyone after “fighting through adversity” against the Bengals and coming away with an important win.

The stat that has Mahomes worried

For a team that relies entirely on how its aerial game fares, things have not gone as expected for the Chiefs this season.  Andy Reid’s guys are calling a play through the air on 62.08% of offensive snaps, but their results are not as expected and it shows in the number of losses the Chiefs have on the year.

Mahomes’ receivers have already dropped 39 passes on him this season, a very high number and one in which they lead the NFL, something that has affected the quarterback, as several of those passes ended in interceptions.
