The WrestleMania fever is something that is spreading all over. The NCAA was no exception, as its national championship game had a viral moment. Athletes Caitlin Clark and Angel Reese were going through the competitive heat with some taunting. The moment was an instant hit, but Reese landed in the criticism’s firing range. The NFL realm also took notice and kept its thoughts on the matter.
To give some context, during the Cardinals-Hawkeyes elite-eight game, Iowa’s Caitlin Clark made John Cena’s ‘You Can’t See Me’ signature gesture after a three-point conversion attempt. Angel Reese took notice of the taunting and made Clark give a taste of her troll.
There’s massive support from the NFL
In the LSU Tigers’ 102-85 blowout win over the Iowa Hawkeyes, star guard Angel Reese brought the signature gesture out of Clark’s celebratory playbook in the game’s closing moments. She also pointed at the finger where she intends to wear the Championship ring.

Emmanuel Acho also defended Angel Reese and urged everyone to let the women compete.
If it wasn’t “classless” when Caitlin Clark did it, don’t call it classless when Angel Reese does it. Let the women compete, it’s sports!! pic.twitter.com/lJpS1NId68

Angel Reese lashed out over taunting critics
The sports community might be in outrage and have kept their divided stance over the Caitlin Clark-Angel Reese saga. Her performing Cena’s signature gesture was a sensational moment. She also spoke about the criticism over her taunting the opposition and remains unapologetic.
“I’m too hood, I’m too ghetto. Y’all told me that all year. But when other people do it, y’all don’t say nothing. So this is for the girls that look like me.”

In the post-game press conference, Angel Reese mentioned, “All year I was critiqued about who I was. I’m too hood, I’m too ghetto, y’all told me that all year. When other people do it, y’all don’t say (anything) nothing. This was for the people that look like me.” Was the Lady Tiger right to remain unapologetic for the gesture? Let us know in the comments.
