The Kansas City Chiefs battled through frigid temperatures and even frozen mustaches in their Wild Card Round win over the Miami Dolphins on Saturday night, as wind chills dropped to more than 20 degrees below Fahrenheit. Andy Reid, whose ice-laden mustache went viral during the game, joked about his facial hair situation after the game. “The worst thing that could happen is it falls off,” Reid told reporters.

Thankfully, Reid’s trademark mustache—much like his team—managed to survive the cold and move forward intact. Patrick Mahomes threw for 262 yards and a touchdown and the Kansas City defense dominated a frozen-in-place Dolphins offense on the way to a dominant 26-7 victory.
The defending Super Bowl champs will likely play the Bills in Buffalo next weekend, so odds are they won’t suddenly be headed to forgiving temperatures. The Bills had their Wild Card matchup against the Pittsburgh Steelers postponed until Monday due to inclement weather. Next weekend is currently expected to be a little more forgiving, with Buffalo’s forecast currently sitting at a high of 23 degrees and a low of 20 degrees for next Sunday. Compared to Saturday in Kansas City, that might as well be a beach.
