Caitlin Clark’s 55,646 Cheer Fails to Mute Angel Reese’s Second Title Hopes, LSU Tigers Shines Bright in Preseason

A panel of SEC and national media representatives made their predictions for the 2024 SEC title. According to them, LSU is expected to win the title, and Angel Reese has been named the preseason SEC Player of the Year. The media also included four players from LSU, including three first-team members, on their preseason All-SEC team. This has led to the creation of a super team in college basketball and raised expectations of winning another national championship. LSU showed a remarkable performance last year, as they won their first national championship with the help of Angel Reese.

LSU Tigers’ hopes of winning a consecutive championship this year have been reignited with Angel Reese and two more stars from the All-SEC team. If the team manages to win the national title and finish first in the SEC, the university’s stardom will reach unparalleled heights.

Angel Reese and LSU’s second championship dream

More than 55,000 people gathered at Iowa Stadium to watch Caitlin Clark show off her basketball skills with a stunning long three-pointer. Despite this impressive performance, LSU and Reese managed to keep their hopes alive for a second title by achieving a new feat in the SEC.

According to the media, LSU is the favorite to win the Southeastern Conference women’s basketball championship tournament. Following LSU are No. 6 South Carolina, No. 11 Tennessee, No. 12 Mississippi, and No. 25 Mississippi State. LSU is expected to secure its second consecutive championship.

The official Twitter handle of the LSU Tigers expressed their joy at being selected as No. 1 in the SEC by the media.  LSU Tigers also announced that Angel Reese is the preseason player of the year and is joined on the first team by Flau’Jae Johnson and Hailey Van Lith, while Aneesah Morrow is on the all-SEC second team.

The transfer of star players to LSU

There has been much conjecture and expectation around the move of great athletes to LSU’s portal. Hailey Van Lith, a Louisville Cardinals player, has decided to transfer to Louisiana State University for the next NCAA basketball season. Van Lith has achieved a total of 1,553 points throughout her outstanding career.

Aneesah Morrow had a 23.8 point per game average throughout her stay at DePaul University. She is noted for her offensive abilities as well as her ability to bring in rebounds, and she has an average of 12.2 this season.
