After the Dallas Cowboys’ playoff loss to the Green Bay Packers, CeeDee Lamb’s mother expressed frustration on social media, suggesting her son should seek a trade and implying that quarterback Dak Prescott lacks the drive to win a Super Bowl  Former NFL quarterback Cam Newton responded, advising against airing such grievances on social media and emphasizing that conflicts between players should stay within the team.

Newton stressed that this principle applies to all levels of sports. The quarterback-wide receiver relationship is crucial for a team’s success, and Newton, drawing from his Super Bowl experience with the Carolina Panthers, emphasized the importance of maintaining a strong connection between the two positions.

“Listen here mama, baby, I know everything that we think, we don’t need to say,” Newton said.  “Everything we need to say don’t need to be posted.  “I didn’t even really want to talk about this because you know, Dallas situation, Cowboy. This is real spill for anybody in the NFL, college sports, it don’t matter as a whole. Supporting cast don’t make it any better by voicing their honest opinion.

“I say this respectfully. Just shut up. Just shut up. Because it’s not gonna do any good. … you’re gonna bring more trouble.” Lamb’s mother’s public criticism raises concerns about the potential impact on team dynamics and the need for internal resolution to ensure the Cowboys’ Super Bowl aspirations remain intact
