Patrick Mahomes wouldn’t like to hear this from Travis Kelce. The Kansas City Chiefs tight end recently discussed the investments the quarterback and his wife, Brittany Mahomes, have made in sports teams. But the outcome may not sit well with the Chiefs’ captain. The Chiefs QB-TE pair recently got their hands on an F1 team. But Mahomes has been in the business for quite a while now. And his superwife Brittany has supported him throughout, or more like… led him!? That’s exactly what Kelce had to say.
Travis Kelce ditches Patrick Mahomes
In their weekly podcast ‘New Heights,’ the Kelce brothers were talking about Travis’s recent decision to buy a stake in the Alpine F1 team. In reference to that, the duo mentioned how Patrick Mahomes has been doing that for quite a while, and his wife Brittany has always partnered with him in terms of ownership. But when it came to leading the deal, Kelce believed it was always Brittany who was the one.
Upon a question from brother Jason, Kelce pointed out the investments that the quarterback was part of. “Pat’s obviously been killing it. He’s Royals, Kansas City soccer, he’s got the pickleball Team all that.”
But almost immediately, he realized it was actually Brittany who was coming up with the ideas. “But Brittany’s actually the one, kind of like breaking ground, like some new areas. Not only getting the women’s soccer team, but she’s like, it’s the first women’s I believe professional team to have their own facilities.” Kelce praised Brittany for leading the groundbreaking deals.
Tough luck, Patrick. It seems he needs to kick off something of his own this time and not follow his wife to it. It’s unclear if the quarterback has reacted or even seen his buddy let him down like this. But knowing his competitive nature, it shouldn’t be surprising if Mahomes dumps Kelce from his next plan and decides to buy the stake altogether.
