Travis Kelce expressed his frustrations and disappointments in himself and in the outcome of the Super Bowl on his “New Heights” podcast. The tight end stayed away from commenting about the booing of Taylor Swift in the Caesars Superdome and the president commenting on the situation on Truth Social.

“This sport can humble you so fast,” Kelce told his brother, Jason Kelce, in an episode released on Wednesday. “As much as I would like to think we could have done things differently, I just didn’t feel at the end of it that it was meant to be.”

Although the Philadelphia Eagles pummeled the Kansas City Chiefs on Sunday 40-22, Kelce eclipsed Hall of Famer Jerry Rice for the most catches in Super Bowl history. The tight end admitted his apathy about the record but added that he was grateful to his close-knit community for supporting him.

“The biggest thing is after the game I still had over 50 something plus of my best friends and my family and my loved ones and everyone who has supported me throughout my life that was there to make it at least not feel like the worst day of my life,” Kelce said.  At one point, Jason Kelce got choked up talking about how it was a “weird” game for him because he rooted for Travis but was also happy for his former team, the Eagles.

Kelce addressed the question of whether he would appear for his 13th year in the NFL at the top of the show.  “Right now I’m just kicking everything down the road,” Kelce said. “I’m not making any crazy decisions, but right now the biggest decision is being there for my teammates and being there for my coaches.”
