Kansas City Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce could use his upcoming NFL bye week to fly to Argentina to watch rumored girlfriend Taylor Swift perform on her Eras Tour. It will be one of Kelce’s only opportunities to spend extended time with Swift in the near future. The Chiefs are not even halfway through their 17-game regular season and, outside of the bye week, players typically don’t venture far from team facilities.
According to ET, Kelce is already formalizing plans to see Swift on the Eras Tour when the Chiefs are off from Nov. 5 to Nov. 20. Kelce’s already welcomed Swift to three of his games, including two at Arrowhead Stadium in Kansas City, Missouri. So, the 34-year-old reportedly wants to repay the gestures with a long-distance flight to support her career.
Swift is scheduled to leave the U.S. in early November after finishing her domestic Eras Tour marathon with three shows in Indianapolis, Indiana, the weekend of Nov. 1. She’ll be in South America until Nov. 26 before taking a brief holiday break. Then, the singer will be on the move for most of 2024, touring global spots from Singapore to Austria.
So far, Kelce’s teammates have not spoken much about the media circus his relationship with Swift has brought to the organization. It helps that the Chiefs have a 4-0 record since the mania started. “I’m just having fun with it,” Kelce told reporters. “Whether I think [the media is] overdoing it or not, I know I brought this to myself. I’ve been fortunate enough to have fun with it. That’s all that really matters is it’s not p***ing anybody off. Over here at least.
“As all the attention comes, it feels like, you know, I was on top of the world after the Super Bowl. And right now, even more on top of the world. We’re learning with the paparazzi taking photos from all over the place. At the same time, it comes with it. You’ve got a lot of people who care about Taylor for good reason. You’ve just got to keep living and learning and enjoying the moments.”
Kelce has survived two health scares this season where fans feared he might need to miss multiple games. The former Cincinnati college football star tweaked his knee days before a season-opening matchup with the Detroit Lions but only sat out that one contest. He appeared to hurt his ankle on Oct. 8 against the Minnesota Vikings but returned later in the game.
This past week, Kelce took full advantage of a rare weekend off after playing last Thursday night. He visited Swift in New York City on Sunday for a dinner date before joining his brother Jason Kelce at Game 1 of the NLCS between the Philadelphia Phillies and Arizona Diamondbacks on Monday night. In recent days, Kelce has been back in Kansas City practicing with the team before a pivotal game against the Los Angeles Chargers
