Taylor Swift watches boyfriend Travis Kelce lose a SECOND straight game after jetting in to Kansas City… as pop superstar goes through a rollercoaster of emotions in VIP suite at Arrowhead
Taylor Swift went through a rollercoaster of emotions as she watched her boyfriend Travis Kelce and his Kansas City Chiefs lose a nail-biting game to the Buffalo Bills on Sunday night.
The pop superstar hot-footed it from New York City on Sunday morning and arrived in time to watch Kelce for a sixth time this season, once again sitting alongside his family in a VIP suite at Arrowhead Stadium.
And Swift went through a range of emotions as she watched her man put his body on the line in a tight game – looking downcast as the Chiefs fell behind in the first half, before jumping to her feet as Kelce made some big plays to pull the home team back level.
In the final minutes, Kelce made an incredible play that looked to have won the game for the home team, but it was called back for an offside in the build-up and the Bills went on to win, ensuring that Swift has seen her boyfriend lose in two straight games.
Swift’s latest visit to Kansas City comes just days before her 34th birthday, and at the end of an historic week in which she was named TIME Magazine’s Person of the Year.
When she arrived at the stadium, she could be seen repping the Chiefs once again in a red outfit with the team name emblazoned across the chest, and she later took selfies with fans in the box before cheering on Travis in the game.
The pop superstar seemingly can’t get enough of the NFL this season – especially now that the South American leg of her Eras tour is finished – after she traveled to Lambeau Field last week as her beau and the Chiefs fell to the Green Bay Packers.
As she arrived at Arrowhead for Kelce’s latest game on Sunday, she waved at fans who called out to her as she got on a golf cart to be driven into the venue.
The singer is on a break from her massively successful Eras tour until February after recently performing across Argentina and Brazil.
This week, she spoke to TIME Magazine for an interview alongside her big award, opening up about the attention she gets when she goes to cheer on Travis.
‘I don’t know how they know what suite I’m in,’ she said. ‘There’s a camera, like, a half-mile away, and you don’t know where it is, and you have no idea when the-camera is putting you in the broadcast, so I don’t know if I’m being shown 17 times or once.
‘I’m just there to support Travis. I have no awareness of if I’m being shown too much and p****ng off a few dads, Brads, and Chads.’
She was also spotted with a group of celebrity friends on a girl’s night out to dinner at Lucali in Brooklyn on Friday night.
She was joined by Selena Gomez , Zoe Kravitz and Cara Delevigne for the occasion.
Actor Anya Taylor-Joy also joined them.
Taylor wrote about the importance of friendship in a 2019 essay for Elle titled 30 Things I Learned Before Turning 30.
The singer revealed that ‘never being popular as a kid was always an insecurity for me.’
‘Even as an adult, I still have recurring flashbacks of sitting at lunch tables alone or hiding in a bathroom stall, or trying to make a new friend and being laughed at,’ she recounted.
‘In my twenties I found myself surrounded by girls who wanted to be my friend. So I shouted it from the rooftops, posted pictures, and celebrated my newfound acceptance into a sisterhood,’ she explained.
Taylor and Selena first bonded back in 2008 when they were dating Joe and Nick Jonas, respectively.
‘We actually dated the Jonas Brothers together! It was hysterical,’ Selena told KISS FM UK in 2017.
‘It was amazing, because [Taylor] was the girl with the big curly hair and all the bracelets and the cowboy boots. And I was definitely up-and-coming, and we just clicked,’ the Ice Cream singer said, adding, ‘It was the best thing we got out of those relationships.’
Earlier in the day on Sunday, Travis was pictured leaving the Chiefs’ team hotel before Kansas City’s game against the Bills.
His Chiefs have lost three of their last five games, while Buffalo’s playoff hopes are firmly in the balance at 6-6.
The tight end, 34, has totaled 813 receiving yards and five touchdowns thus far this season.
Since he posted a ridiculous 12 catches for 179 yards and a touchdown in front of Swift vs. the Chargers, his performances have cooled off some.
He’s failed to top 100 yards in the last five games.
Kansas City still leads the AFC West with an 8-4 record.
