Patrick Mahomes’ name has been making waves on social media on Thursday, and it’s not because of the Kansas City Chiefs or his adorable family.
Mahomes is deleting any association with Diddy
The star quarterback is raising some eyebrows for deleting a couple of tweets on X about Diddy. Users on X noticed the missing posts and rapidly started questioning Mahomes’ actions, specifically, if he had something to hide regarding the controversial music mogul.
The fact that Mahomes is deleting tweets to P diddy from 10 years ago is sketchy as Fu*k! What’s he afraid of? It’s the past! #mahomes #nflnews pic.twitter.com/hYSOFr6DnL

The messages Mahomes deleted are from ten years ago in February and September of 2014. One of the messages was wishing Diddy a happy birthday. At the time those tweets were posted, Mahomes would have been 18 years old. In 2014 Mahomes joined Texas Tech as a freshman backup quarterback. He also was a relief pitcher with the university’s baseball team.
Fast forward 10 years and Diddy, once at the top of the music industry, is facing an incriminating lawsuit that includes sex trafficking accusations. The rapper’s homes in Los Angeles and Miami were recently raided by Homeland Security officer, further increasing the media’s attention on the ongoing investigation.

Mahomes turns his attention to MLB’s Opening Day
While social media users were busy scrutinizing his relationship, or lack thereof with Diddy, Mahomes took to X to poke fun at his coach. Andy Reid made an appearance at the Kansas City Royals vs Minnesota Twins game during the MLB’sOpening Day.
Mahomes’ message on X said “Anyone know if coach Reid threw a strike?” followed by laughing emojis Reid, appeared on the field at Kauffman Stadium carrying the Chiefs’ most-recent Lombardi trophy in one hand, and the ceremonial ball in the other. Chiefs’ owner, Clark Hunt, was also in attendance during the first pitch ceremony.
Coach Reid, who is vowing to keep making history with the Chiefs, has expressed his desire to keep coaching in the NFL amid rumors of a near retirement. In regards to the Royals, the MLB franchise is hoping for some success of their own after finishing last season with an underwhelming record of 56-106, their seventh straight losing season.
