Back in 2016, the Only Murders in the Building starlet recalled how her then-boyfriend Justin Bieber’s mentor, P Diddy, mistook her for someone who worked at a valet. She spoke to GQ about the incident and recalled what happened that day.
She said: “[…] When P Diddy gave me his valet ticket once, do you know what I mean?” Interviewer Zach Baron had no idea what she meant, so the Wizards of Waverly Place actress explained: “Because he thought I was the valet lady!” The interviewer couldn’t believe his ears and exclaimed: “What?!” while Gomez confirmed that her story was true and continued: “Look, I see all of it. I don’t care, I actually laughed hysterically when it happened, but I get it. I know what all of it is.”
Gomez’s ex-boyfriend Justin Bieber, who she dated on-off between 2009 and 2018, spent a lot of time with P Diddy – real name Sean Combs – as a minor and worked with the rapper on Diddy’s last hit in September 2023. The collaboration came before recent allegations were made against the chart-topping rapper. It has been reported that Bieber is horrified by the recent claims made against Diddy and an insider spoke about the musician’s views.
“Bieber is so disturbed by the Diddy news and is unwilling to process it or discuss it, so he has shut off. So many people who helped to make him who he is were very close to Diddy and it has completely thrown him.” The source also implied that Justin, who recently welcomed his first child with wife Hailey Bieber, is second-guessing his partnership with Diddy on his most recent record. It has been alleged that Bieber took a “long break” from seeing the rapper.
Diddy was arrested on 16 September in New York City on charges of sex trafficking and racketeering, and the star has been denied bail multiple times. Sean has pleaded not guilty and his attorney stated: “He’s innocent […] he’s not afraid, he’s not afraid of the charges.”
