Chicago Sky star Angel Reese couldn’t hide her excitement after meeting the one and only Rihanna. The Sky forward was one of the many personalities and celebrities who attended the 38th annual Footwear News Achievement Awards.
Dressed to the nines, Reese brought her “A” game to the red carpet and showcased a stunning new hairstyle. Other than joining A-list stars at the prestigious event, the WNBA All-Star had a night to remember. On her X account, Reese teased fans with a post saying, “Check my IG story if y’all wanna gag rn.”
Interestingly, her social media post highlighted a special encounter with Rihanna, who attended the event with music artist A$AP Rocky, her boyfriend. While Reese was in full fan-girl mode as she savored the moment, she also shared a bold message to the Grammy winner. “I wanna work with you one day,” Reese said, to which Rihanna replied, “Let’s do it.”
As the WNBA star looked thrilled, the “We Found Love” singer added, “I’m always ready.” The 22-year-old hooper was awarded the 2024 Style Influencer of the Year at the FNAA. As she accepted the recognition, she also made a confident declaration, per Footwear News. “I’m 22 years old, I’m still figuring life out, but this is just the beginning,” she stated in her speech.
Reese is making a name for herself outside the WNBA. Besides her podcast “Unapologetically Angel,” she is also a brand ambassador for Reebok and has endorsement deals with Cash App and Hershey’s, among others.
