Princess Kate and Prince William Indulged in Some Rare PDA on Instagram

When it comes to showing PDA at work, Princess Kate and Prince William are typically hands-off—literally. But after the couple finished their royal engagements in Wales on Wednesday, they indulged in a small, sweet moment of public affection.
Yesterday, Kate and William headed out to Pontypridd, a town in Wales that was impacted by back-to-back storms that occurred last November and December. The trip, which marked their second joint engagement of the year, involved meeting with vendors and business owners at the town’s indoor market and touring a community garden.
After wrapping up their duties, the couple headed to the train station for the commute back home. William and Kate could be seen holding hands as they walked through the station together, per a video that was shared to their Instagram Story. The caption read, “Thank you, Pontypridd!”
The sweet clip shows Kate dressed in the same outfit she wore for their last engagement: a pleated tartan Gucci skirt, suede Gianvito Rossi boots, and a Ralph Lauren tweed jacket that she first wore back in 2007. Her commuter-core style also included the addition of a large leather tote bag in a warm caramel color. As for William, he wore the same blazer, navy pants, and brown shoes that he was seen wearing earlier in the day.
During their trip to Pontypridd, William and Kate rolled up their sleeves to help knead dough at the Welsh Cake Shop. Theresa Conner, the owner of the shop, opened up about the experience in an interview with People.
“It’s lovely and an honor for Pontypridd to have a visit,” Conner said. “They are coming to visit Pontypridd where a lot of people have been affected here by the floods. And for them to do so will help boost people in the town and raise our profile. A lot of our customers are very excited about it and are here trying to get a glimpse of them.”
