Sterling Mahomes is already her sister’s biggest cheerleader. Brittany Mahomes, who is expecting her third baby with husband Patrick Mahomes, shared a glimpse at their 3-year-old daughter’s excitement following an ultrasound visit. “Sis got her own picture of her sister this morning,” she wrote on her Instagram Stories Dec. 5 alongside a snap of a smiling Sterling holding the sonogram in her hand. “She was so proud.”
The Mahomes family is already preparing the game plan for their newborn’s arrival. After all, the Kansas City Chiefs quarterback, who also shares 2-year-old son Bronze Mahomes with Brittany, has even been practicing his hair braiding skills. The Kansas City Current co-owner gushed over the adorable moment of Patrick, 29, tying back Sterling’s golden locks in their living room, writing on Instagram Stories, “@patrickmahomes crushing his braiding skills.”
Having more little ones running around their eight-acre land is a dream for the couple. “I’ve been called to be a mom ever since I was little,” Brittany, 28, told SheKnows in March. “Just seeing my kids grow up, and the things that they’re learning, and the things that they’re taking from their dad … when we have first experiences with them, taking them somewhere, seeing them happy and lit up and in good spirits when we do stuff, is probably the biggest thing that I enjoy.”
However, the couple, who tied the knot in 2022, knows it takes teamwork to make that dream work. In fact, Patrick sees Brittany as the MVP of their household. “She was an athlete growing up,” he told E! News last July. “If you played any sports, you know [there are] as many people that enjoy how you play and the effort that you give [as] people that are always going to hate on you. And so she has a good sense of that.”
“Enjoy your life every single day and not worry about what everyone thinks,” he said of Brittany’s mindset. “Life’s short. You want to enjoy those moments and remember those moments. And for us, we try to enjoy those moments with our family as much as possible.”
And Patrick is grateful to have her keep him in line. “She has her head on her shoulders the right way,” he said. “She’s my rock. She’s the one that, through tough times, can get me through.”
