Quarterback Patrick Mahomes and the Kansas City Chiefs are hours away from playing in their third consecutive Super Bowl. The Chiefs, who are competing in the Super Bowl for the fifth time in the past six seasons, have the chance to become the first team to complete a 3-peat during the Super Bowl era. The Philadelphia Eagles, meanwhile look to break the streak and avenge their loss to Kansas City in Super Bowl 57.
Super Bowl LIX will be the first played at the Caesars Superdome in New Orleans for the first time since 2013. The last time Mahomes played in the Big Easy – a regular-season game on Dec. 20, 2020 – the Chiefs won a 32-29 nailbiter over the hometown Saints.
