Patrick Mahomes opens up after his and Travis Kelce’s mansions were burglarized

pm speaks

Patrick Mahomes didn’t hide his frustration while speaking about the burglary that took place at his home and that of teammate Travis Kelce last month. The quarterback’s home was targeted by thieves on October 6, while Kelce’s home was hit just 48 hours later.

While Mahomes didn’t share any details on the burglaries as they are under investigation, he made it clear he wasn’t happy with what happened.  “Obviously, it’s frustrating. It’s disappointing,” he said while speaking on the matter for the first time on Wednesday. “Obviously something that you don’t want to have happen to really anybody. But obviously yourself.”

While it’s unclear if anyone was home or what was taken from Mahomes’ home, local police did state that around $20,000 was missing from Kelce’s home.  Mahomes stated that he expects details of the incident to be released in the future, though no charges have been filed currently.

What does Kelce think?

Kelce has yet to speak on the situation, though it remains to be seen if he will when he is made available to the media by the Chiefs later in the week. The two players live in the Kansas City suburbs, around a half four from Arrowhead Stadium. Kelce moved into his home in Leawood, Kansas last year, while Mahomes resides in Belton, Missouri.

Both men will have to put the matter to the back of their minds when they take the field on Sunday in what is likely their toughest test of the season.  The Chiefs travel to take on the Buffalo Bills and are looking to add to their perfect 9-0 record. They last tasted defeat last Christmas, and enter Sunday’s game having won their last 15 AFC games.
