Patrick Mahomes Grabs Attention With Outfit Before Chiefs-Broncos

After a winter storm caused a logistical issue for the Kansas City Chiefs on their way to Colorado for their final game of the regular season, the two-time defending champions eventually made a safe landing at Denver on Saturday evening.  The Chiefs’ Week 18 matchup against the Denver Broncos will now push through despite the game facing a potential postponement earlier in the day. This is after the Chiefs’ team plane was stranded at Kansas City International Airport (MCI) for four hours due to adverse weather conditions.

One of the first people off the plane as it landed in Denver was star quarterback Patrick Mahomes. The reigning Super Bowl MVP was not in his usual suit on Saturday, instead opting for a more relaxed look amid the winter storm.

Mahomes went with a gray and black ensemble this week. The six-time Pro Bowler paired his cropped, tailor-fit light gray jacket with matching straight-fit trousers. He wore a black shirt/sweater under his jacket, which provided a strong contrast with his lighter outerwear.  Mahomes’ white sneakers complimented his clean and minimalistic look. All in all, the Chiefs star’s ensemble gave off a casual and stylish vibe.

Mahomes’ get-up grabbed the attention of the fans on social media, who shared their respective opinions on his latest tarmac fit.

“Pat looks drippy! ❄️” a comment on Instagram read.

“I’m being so Fr when I say mahomes has the most aura of all time. Winter soldier 🐐” said another.

“That fit go hard,” reacted a fan.

“mahomes with no suit for the away game? we better not lose 🙏🏼” hoped a supporter.

“The aura is dripping everywhere,” another commented.

“Man dressed comfy like he ain’t playing lol,” surmised a user.

As that last comment implied, Mahomes is in danger of missing the Chiefs’ season finale due to an ankle injury. The former Texas Tech star has officially been listed as doubtful to play, and it seems like he is headed for a game-time decision on Sunday. It was reported earlier that Carson Wentz will be the starting quarterback in the Week 18 game.

The 15-1 Chiefs have already secured their spot in the divisional round of the playoffs, which means they could give their star quarterback a day off on Sunday ahead of what they’re hoping will be another deep postseason run.
