King Charles III recently celebrated his 76th birthday, but royal insiders are worried it may be the monarch’s last. Charles has been battling cancer for the entirety of 2024 — and though he has made progress in treatment for the disease, the king’s recent public appearances have failed to shut down speculation about his health. A new report sourced from insiders within the British Royal Family has shed new light on how family members are concealing the worst aspects of Charles’ condition — and particularly, his physical appearance.
Heavy makeup applied to Charles’ face to conceal “agonizing” sores
According to Radar Online, Charles’ courtiers this week applied heavy cosmetics to cover up the king’s “blotchy and puffy” face, the goal being to hide his “alarming” complexion from the public.
As questions mount over Charles’ health, his aides took great care to hide the sores that have formed around the king’s lips and mouth as he attended the UK premiere of the highly-anticipated “Gladiator” sequel. This makeup is being applied to Charles’ face ahead of each public outing — as has been the case for months. “Although Charles is trying to show that it’s business as usual, it’s not working out that way,” an insider said. “Anyone can see he’s not well.”

Charles was elevated to the throne following the death of his mother, Elizabeth II, in September 2022. His short reign to this point has been marked by infighting — especially between his sons, Prince Harry and Prince William — as well as his cancer treatment, which some believe has everything to do with his supposedly-grisly appearance sans makeup. Only time will tell if Charles can beat his illness and overcome the complications from his chemotherapy treatments — which have been blamed for his sores and his “deathly white” pallor.
“His sore lips have caused some people to draw back in horror. And his complexion is raw and ruddy. His courtiers worry he’s neglecting his health by putting the kingdom first,” an insider claimed. “Clearly, he’s sicker than he makes himself out to be.”
