Jerry Jones and the Dallas Cowboys are likely counting down the days until the end of the season after another low point on Sunday.  America’s Team were blown out by the Philadelphia Eagles, who clinched the NFC East in style with a 41-7 victory.

The loss meant little for the Cowboys in terms of their season as they entered the game having already been eliminated from playoff contention, though it still had to sting to lose to a rival in such humiliating fashion.  Dallas was outgained 376 to 268, and also turned the ball over four times compared to Philly’s zero.

Eagles fans take aim at Jones

Unsurprisingly, Eagles fans, who are known for being ruthless, made sure to let Jones have it as his team struggled on the field.  While the 82-year-old was in the luxury box trying to watch the game, Eagles fans took aim at the owner and team.  “Keep doing the job you’re doing this year,” one fan told Jones in a video that has emerged on social media.

The video has sparked plenty of talk on social media, with one fan responding: “No way this dude didn’t understand that was sarcasm.”  Another wrote: “That eagles fan is having a good laugh with his buddies right now.”  “What did they do in the off season to improve that team? Nothing,” another wrote.  “Sounds exactly like an Eagles fan!,” added another.

After the game coach Mike McCarthy, who’s future with the team remains a huge talking point, stated that the Cowboys weren’t able to do many of the things they wanted to given how the game played out.  “We knew it was going to be a different game with the plan this week,” he said.  “To be honest with you, we didn’t really get to some of the things we’d hope to get to.”  The Cowboys close out their season against the Washington Commanders on Sunday.
