Jason and Travis may have just agreed to the Kelce Bowl 2.0.
The original Kelce Bowl took place in 2023 when Travis’ Kansas City Chiefs beat Jason’s Philadelphia Eagles 38-35 in Super Bowl LVII. And now the second iteration of the famous match-up may be right around the corner as the NFL siblings have challenged each other to a beer drinking contest.
The stakes were set during a recent episode of their ‘New Heights’ podcast with new Eagles running back Saquon Barkley. “If you had a drinking contest, who’s winning?” Barkley playfully asked. “I’m pretty sure I’ve beaten Jason the last three to five times,” Travis responded. “This is completely made up,” Jason clapped back.
“First of all, what’s the competition? Are we talking about chugging a beer? “Who’s calling it quits?” Barkley replied. “I can definitely drink more volume,” Jason confidentially said. “Whaaaaaat?! a surprised Travis reacted. “I think drinking games I will destroy him because I have the mental advantage,” Jason chimed in. “But beer pong I’m not beating you on, for sure.”
The brothers then went back and forth insisting the challenge is a level playing field right now because they’re at the same weight class. “You don’t have the heart that I do when it comes to drinking,” the former Eagles man fired back at his not-so-little brother. “He hasn’t stayed out since past 10pm since 2017,” Trav joked. “Did you not see me at your playoff games this year?” Jason asked.
“Do you remember any of that?” probed Travis. “No, because I was drinking all day,” Jason remarked. “We’re going to have to get to the bottom of this,” Jason concluded. “If you had to shotgun a beer, who’s winning?” Saquon followed up. “Well the last time we shotgun a beer Travis cheated,” Jason claimed.
The trio then joked about Jason’s shirtless antics in Buffalo last season for the Chiefs-Bills playoff game before Travis said, “well, it’s on like Donkey Kong, motherf***er.” “We’re going to enter ourselves into this drinking contest.” The segment ended with Barkley insisting that he could hold his own drinking with the brothers.
The safe money would be on Jason winning any potential drinking contest with Travis. The iconic ex offensive lineman stole the show in the AFC Divisional Round in January by chugging beers with Bills Mafia and jumping into the crowd at Highmark Stadium without a t-shirt on.
He followed that up weeks later during the Chiefs’ Super Bowl LVIII afterparty in Las Vegas after they beat the 49ers in 2024’s Big Game. Jason wore a Mexican wrestler’s mask and partied into the early hours of the morning with a triumphant Travis and his girlfriend Taylor Swift.
As the night came to an end, hilarious viral footage showed the elder Kelce brother staggering around near his hotel and nearly falling into a nearby bush. It remains to be seen if the Kelce drinking contest ever goes ahead, but if it does it may even break Super Bowl viewing figures.
