Shohei Ohtani received a special ‘visa’ for his dog during a visit to the US Embassy in Tokyo, new photos from the organization show. Ohtani, who was born in Japan, joined the Dodgers in free agency this winter on a mammoth 10-year, $700million deal.
And it appears his dog Decoy is getting special treatment as well, as US Ambassador to Japan Rahm Emanuel recently presented him with an adorable oversized ‘visa.’ Emanuel posted photos of the visit on social media Thursday, with the embassy saying it occurred recently when Ohtani was back in Japan. The ‘visa’ shows a photo of the dog, whose Japanese name is Dekopin, and gives his birth date as ‘dog years’ and shows the canine has dual American and Japanese citizenry.
