Cowboys Micah Parsons Violently Knocks Eagles QB Out of Game in Video Going Viral

PINKETT DOWN

With Jalen Hurts sidelined by a concussion, Kenny Pickett stepped in for his first Eagles start as Philadelphia looks to clinch the division crown.  The Philadelphia Eagles were to be without star quarterback Jalen Hurts for today’s high-stakes NFC East matchup against the Dallas Cowboys, while Dallas would have to navigate the absence of their top wide receiver, CeeDee Lamb.  Neither situation is working out quite as planned.  Dallas is down 27-7 in the third … but so is Hurts’ replacement.

Hurts, sidelined with a concussion, would be replaced by Kenny Pickett, was making his first start in an Eagles uniform. Tanner McKee will serve as the backup quarterback … and he’s in now … with Ian Book designated as the emergency third QB under NFL rules.  And what happened? Micah Parsons hitting Pickett – and knocking him out of the game – is what happened.

Defensively, Philadelphia will also miss linebacker Nakobe Dean, who is out with an abdomen injury. Oren Burks is expected to start alongside Zack Baun, while rookie Jeremiah Trotter Jr. and practice squad elevation Dallas Gant will provide depth. This marks Gant’s first regular-season appearance with the Eagles.

In the Eagles’ backfield, rookie Will Shipley remains in concussion protocol and has been ruled out. Tyrion Davis-Price, elevated from the practice squad, will serve as the third running back behind Saquon Barkley and Kenny Gainwell, making his first appearance in an Eagles uniform.

There is a silver lining for Philadelphia, as pass rusher Bryce Huff is active despite earlier injury concerns. Activated from injured reserve on Saturday, Huff is expected to play a key role in disrupting Dallas’s offensive game plan.

The remaining Eagles inactives include offensive linemen Nick Gates, Darian Kinnard, and Trevor Keegan, with Keegan one game away from being inactive for the entire regular season.  For Dallas, in addition to Lamb’s absence, the Cowboys will also be without Deuce Vaughn, Kemon Hall, T.J. Bass, Matt Waletzko, Princeton Fant, Tyrus Wheat, and Justin Rogers.
