Brittany Mahomes, the wife of the Kansas City Chiefs’ Patrick, reacted to the criticism after their devastating 40-22 loss to the Philadelphia Eagles in Super Bowl LIX with a modest but powerful message as the NFL star vows to fight back. The 29-year-old QB struggled to find the space to make any plays throughout the evening at the Caesars Superdome on February 9, being sacked six times and only throwing his touchdowns in garbage time.
It was a big blow to his GOAT credentials with Tom Brady watching on from the stands as Jalen Hurts became Super Bowl MVP and fans were keen to let him know, ripping into the Texas-born player for his performance. “Appreciate all the love and support from #ChiefsKingdom,” Mahomes later posted to X.com, formerly Twitter, after being praised by reporters for accepting his poor performance. “I let y’all down today.
“I’ll always continue to work and try and learn and be better for it. Want to give thanks to God for every opportunity he has given me. We will be back.”
And he will always have the support of his family too as Brittany backed his gesture by silently repositing the quotes to her own Instagram platform, as Patrick returns to his family to grieve the loss. He’ll be back to being a dad to his three children, after recently becoming a father once again on January 10 when his wife gave birth to his second daughter. The couple named the infant Golden Raye.
Brittany’s one highlight from chaotic weekend
Brittany attempted to make the most of the trip by spending time with her children at the aquarium before the big game, but her two-year-old son, Bronze, wasn’t in the mood for fun. Meanwhile, her three-year-old daughter, Sterling, appeared less than thrilled when Brittany tried to capture a pre-game family moment.
Despite the rough start, Brittany remained in good spirits leading up to kickoff, proudly showing off her sleek all-white Chiefs outfit on Instagram. However, once the game began, things quickly took a turn for the worse. The Chiefs struggled on the field, and the night ended in disappointment for Patrick and his team. Yet the 29-year-old ex-soccer star managed to focus on the positives by posting a series of photos from before the game as Brittany called her close friends “heart throbs” via Instagram.
