Brittany Mahomes says husband Patrick Mahomes is “proud” after their daughter Sterling Skye fell asleep while hugging a basketball. On Monday, Brittany posted a cute photo of her daughter clutching a basketball, sleeping and seemingly taking comfort from the ball. The photo appears to be a screenshot from a baby monitor.
She wrote: “This girl legit fell asleep tonight snuggling her basketball… Her dad is proud @patrickmahomes.” Mahomes may be one of the best quarterbacks to have ever played football, but he is also a big basketball fan, and generally a fan of pretty much every sport.
Though, basketball and the NBA are his passion outside of football. In particular, he follows the Dallas Mavericks, with Brittany previously posting a picture of him standing inches away from the television cheering his team on.
Basketball in the family
Mahomes’ son Bronze Lavon III, who is still just 17 months old, was snapped earlier this year watching a basketball game on TV. “This kid loves ball,” Mahomes wrote back then. Patrick Mahomes himself is well-invested in other sports, with stakes in baseball franchise Kansas City Royals and soccer club Sporting Kansas City.
