Brittany Mahomes Jokes She’s a ‘Backrest’ for Husband Patrick After Sharing She Fractured Her Own Back

Brittany Mahomes is happy to be helpful as she recovers from a back injury.  “I’m glad I can be your backrest,” the 28-year-old quipped on an Instagram Story post that she tagged her husband Patrick Mahomes in on Thursday. The mother of two added a laughing emoji on the Boomerang video of her Super Bowl-winning spouse, 28, resting against her legs.

In the upload, the couple enjoyed some time outdoors on a sunny day.

BACK

Brittany’s bare legs were visible, and the Kansas City Chiefs quarterback was shirtless, sporting a hat.  The day before, Brittany posted to social media saying that she’d fractured her back.  “Just a daily reminder,” she began in another Instagram Story Boomerang. “Once you have kids please take care of your pelvic floor. Seriously,” she added. Brittany signed the warning as “A girl with a fractured back.”

A follow-up post hinted that a family vacation could be on the horizon.  “But vacaying with my homies will maybe make it better?” she wrote on a photo of her daughter Sterling Skye, 3, walking.

Both of her children appeared in her Instagram Stories on Thursday.

BRONZESTER

“Perfect angel that hates sand,” Brittany wrote over a photo of her son Patrick “Bronze” Lavon Mahomes III, 1, as he sat on a beach chair looking less than enthused about the situation.  His mother tagged his pro athlete dad, and added a laughing emoji once again.

In her next Story post was a picture of Sterling standing outdoors wearing a white hat, colorful sunshades, a white dress, and shiny pink shoes.  “Cool girl,” was written on the image of the toddler posing for a snap in front of trees and flowers. The NFL star was tagged in that post as well.  Sterling and Bronze were recently present to see their dad defeat the San Francisco 49ers at the 2024 Super Bowl on Feb. 11.

PM WIFE WT TROPHY

The siblings got to spend the day at the Allegiant Stadium in Las Vegas for the Big Game matchup, which ended up being their father’s third Super Bowl win.  And while the moment may have been a proud one for Chiefs, Brittany admitted that someone in their family had other plans.  “Boy didn’t even make kickoff,” she wrote on a photo of Bronze snoozing.

“My oldest daughter, she can finally kind of realize what’s going on and where she’s at, and she loves to watch her dad play football. She can see him from a mile away and pays attention and keeps up with what’s going on with him,” Brittany told PEOPLE in January about taking her babies to the games.  She added that it’s “a very special moment wherever” she can take her kids to see their dad in action.
