The missing items were duck eggs that had been laid by last week’s friendly intruder, a mother duck who nested outside the Mahomeses’ Kansas City mansion. Their special relationship made the events of Wednesday that much more devastating, as several unhatched eggs went missing, and others were left broken in a gruesome scene, with the duck nowhere to be found. It turned out that a new invader attacked overnight, confirmed in Brittany’s final black Instagram slide.
“It was a raccoon at 4:30am this morning,” she wrote. “I guess the saga is over,” she said in the series of videos.
