Patrick Mahomes, the star quarterback of the Kansas City Chiefs, had a night to remember at the 2023 ESPY Awards, where he won two of the most coveted honors: Best NFL Player and Best Athlete in men’s sports. The 27-year-old was accompanied by his wifeBrittany, who turned heads with her stunning and daring black dress.

The couple, who tied the knot in March 2023, looked glamorous and happy as they walked the red carpet at the Dolby Theater in Los Angeles on Wednesday. Brittany, a former soccer player, wore a sleek black gown that featured a low back with criss-cross straps, a cut-out across her stomach, and a plunging neckline that showed off her cleavage. She accessorized with a gold necklace and bracelets, and wore her hair in an elegant updo.

Patrick Mahomes, on the other hand, opted for a white double-breasted blazer and pants, leaving his shirt unbuttoned. He added some flair with black loafers and silver chains around his neck. The quarterback showed off his unique style and charm as he posed for the cameras with his wife.

The Chiefs star was one of the biggest winners of the night, as he received two awards for his outstanding performance in the 2022 NFL season. He led his team to their second consecutive Super Bowl victory, defeating the Philadelphia Eagles 31-24 in February. He also threw for 4,740 yards and 38 touchdowns, with only six interceptions.

Mahomes thanked his teammates, coaches, and fans as he accepted his awards, saying that he was grateful for the incredible season they had. He also said that he was ready to go back to camp next week and keep the momentum going for the next season.

The ESPY Awards, which celebrate the best moments and athletes in sports from the past year, also honored other notable winners from various sports. LeBron James of the L.A. Lakers won the award for Best Record-Breaking Performance for surpassing Kareem Abdul-Jabbar’s all-time NBA scoring record. Lionel Messi, who will soon join Inter Miami in the MLS, won two awards: Best Soccer Player and Best Championship Performance for leading Argentina to their first Copa America title in 28 years.

Other winners included Shohei Ohtani of the Los Angeles Angels (Best MLB Player), Mikaela Shiffrin of the U.S. ski team (Best Athlete in women’s sports), Liam Hendriks of the Chicago White Sox (Jimmy V Award for Perseverance), and the Buffalo Bills training staff (Pat Tillman Award for Service).  The ESPY Awards were a memorable night for sports fans and athletes alike, as they celebrated the achievements, talent, and resilience that define sports excellence.
