The Kansas City Chiefs saw their perfect season come to an end on Sunday. After starting the season 9-0 and edging out win after win, many started to believe the team was simply too well-built and lucky to be brought down. But a trip to Buffalo was enough, as the Bills beat the Chiefs four the fourth time in four tries in regular season games since 2021.
This one was big for the Bills for a couple of reasons. Firstly, they showed their class and proved they’re arguably the best overall team in the NFL. Secondly, they took down a bitter rival that has bested them in the playoffs on a couple of occasions and has ruined their Super Bowl aspirations. Given their rivalry, one wouldn’t expect players or fans from either side to cozy up to the other team, but Brittany Mahomes might have not gotten the memo.

Patrick Mahomes’ wife was at the game on Sunday, set up in a private suite at Highmark Stadium. While there, she snapped a picture with Paige Buechele, the wife of Shane Buechele, who had been with the Chiefs before joining the Bills in 2023.

This shouldn’t be a big deal, but rivalries are heated, particularly in the NFL. Fanbases are quite sensitive about them, especially when it pertains to two powerhouses like the Chiefs and Bills.
Despite that rivalry being present, the players from opposing teams don’t necessarily hate each other. There has been a lot of respect between both sides, including with the quarterbacks, Mahomes and Josh Allen. Brittany and Paige are friends and shouldn’t feel anything other than warmth for reuniting on Sunday.
