Brittany Mahomes swaps her children for her other babies as the Kansas City Current owner cuddles up with her two dogs, who continue to lovingly protect her whilst she manages her third pregnancy. The 29-year-old posted a couple of videos to Instagram of her relaxing with Silver (a mastiff) and Steel (a pitbull) on November 7 as she prepared to watch some Thursday Night Football before her husband takes to the field on Sunday.
In the snap, Steel is spotted resting his head on her shoulder whilst another shows Silver with his arm across her chest as he guards her. “My snuggle girl @steel_silver_mahomes,” Mahomes captioned her upload. Before adding, “The boy too, he never snuggles with me anymore.” The mom-of-two loves her dogs and when she returned from her tour of Europe when the family visited Portugal, she posted videos of her embracing the canines when she finally got back to her mansion in Missouri before deciding to rest-up after the travelling.
When did the Mahomes’ get their dogs?
The Mahomes’ have had their dogs for quite some time, even before their two children, and that was important to integrating them into their family because it’s not a secret that pitbulls can struggle around young children if they’re suddenly introduced in their adult life.
So when exactly did the family get their two dogs? The Sports Illustrated Swimsuit model reveals Steel dates back quite a long time whilst Silver is a slightly newer member of the young football family. “I actually got Steel when I was in college,” Brittany said to PEOPLE in June. “Patrick bought him for me for a Valentine’s Day gift when I was a junior. I mean, they’re basically our children. I consider us having four kids.”
“So, I actually used to be a Steelers fan and that’s how I got the name Steel, so that’s a great story. I think it was back in 2018 after Patrick’s first year in the league. We decided we wanted another addition.”
