Patti LaBelle is speaking now, and she has quite the message for Taylor Swift and her new beau, Travis Kelce. While appearing on a recent episode of Tamron Hall’s morning talk show, the duo’s conversation turned from swapping holiday recipes to dishing out predictions regarding the upcoming football game between the Kansas City Chiefs and Philadelphia Eagles.
LaBelle issued her warning after Hall recalled a conversation with one of her producers regarding Monday night’s game. “She had the nerve to say to me, ‘Well, the Chiefs are playing the Eagles and the Chiefs have Taylor Swift,'” Hall said before telling the audience, “I said ‘The Eagles got Patti LaBelle.’”
LaBelle, a Philly native, agreed with Hall, “Let me say something. Taylor, and all your Swifties, back up boo boo. The [Chiefs] are going down.” “The Eagles are going to win,” the 79-year-old Godmother of Soul continued, “I mean, it’s a done deal. I love you Taylor but stay home.”
One of LaBelle’s wishes may come true, as it is currently unclear if the pop superstar will be attending the Nov. 20 game since she is performing the second leg of her Eras tour in South America. That said, Swift’s and Kelce’s parents will reportedly be there, and it will be the first time they meet.
Even if the “Look What You Made Me Do” songstress can’t make it to the game, the couple has plenty of other date nights to look forward; the lovebirds are allegedly planning to spend Thanksgiving and the winter holidays together. Rumor has it, the duo even has already made plans for next year!
