Randi Mahomes recently opened up about the challenges her family faces amid her son Patrick Mahomes’ rise to NFL fame. Randi’s comments reflect the whirlwind of their lives, constantly in the public eye and the difficulty of maintaining family traditions. Speaking on the “Kent Hance – The Best Storyteller in Texas” podcast in 2021, she noted that she “can’t even remember the last time we’ve had a dinner with just me and my kids.”
Coping with pressure
Despite the fame, the Mahomes family strives to find balance, dealing with the pressures of public life while cherishing their moments of togetherness. “Sometimes I feel like the world is against our family,” she said. Patrick Mahomes’ career, highlighted by three Super Bowl appearances and various other ventures, has thrust the Mahomes family into the spotlight.
“It’s fast and furious,” Randi claimed back in 2021.
“It’s a new life that I’m having to adjust to.”
However, Randi Mahomes admitted earlier this year that being a mother is what she’s been enjoying the most. “Being a mother is my favorite thing sometimes, and sometimes it’s hard, but it is my favorite thing, and I always say, ‘Where would I be without it?'” she told People.
Randi Mahomes shares two sons, Patrick and Jackson Mahomes, with her ex-husband Pat Mahomes Sr., a former MLB pitcher from the late 1990s and early 2000s. She also has a 12-year-old daughter, Mia Randall, from a previous relationship.
