Angel Reese is set to graduate from LSU, squashing claims that she has struggled academically. Reese’s future is all-but secured based on the fact she was drafted into the WNBA by the Chicago Sky. But there is a life after basketball, and for some that comes earlier, given the potential for injury. The good news on that front is that Reese is not only set for a WNBA career, but she has also announced that she will graduate from LSU and on time.
Confirming the news and that she has one very proud mother, she wrote on X: “Ahhh i graduate on saturday!!! ON TIME IN MY 4 YEARS.” She added: “Don’t have to wake up and think about another assignment lmaoooo. i called my momma & she running around the house so happy cause she know all the odds that were against me & she so happy it’s all over and i can live my best life now.”

Reese attracted criticism due to her popularity, regularly combating online trolls during her time at LSU. During that trolling, it was claimed that she was struggling academically, but her timely graduation proves otherwise.
Reese makes debut
In the meantime, Reese made her WNBA debut in an 87-79 defeat for the Sky against the Dallas Wings. She scored 12 points, including eight rebounds. Reese and the Sky return to action on Sunday when they face the Sky again. While there is plenty of time between now and June 1, anticipation is already building for the Reese vs Caitlin Clark showdown when the two superstar rookies face off in the WNBA for the first time.
