Donna Kelce reveals to Travis and Jason what moms REALLY want for Mother’s Day

Brothers Jason Kelce of the Philadelphia Eagles and Travis Kelce of the Kansas City Chiefs make headlines no matter what they do. However, in the midst of so much chaos, the Kelce family took a few moments to reflect on an important topic. This time, their charisma and energy that was once again in evidence on the latest episode of their podcast “New Heights”. In honor of Mother’s Day, Donna Kelce stopped by the microphones of her children’s show and unveiled a few truths about her motherhood.
During the episode, Trav threw out a question that more than one has asked at some point in life: “What do moms really want on Mother’s Day?” Laughing and in a thoughtful tone, Donna didn’t hesitate to answer, “They want to be with their children,” she commented, adding that as children get older, it’s less frequent to visit their mothers. “But basically, I think moms just want to be around their families.”
Donna then ended her message with a brief piece of advice, “If you can’t see them, call them. They want to hear from you,” she said. This unique moment was shared on the Podcast’s official Instagram account with the message, “Happy Mother’s Day!!! 92%ers, don’t forget to call your mom today!”
Donna’s secret to raising them
Growing up, raising the explosive duo was not easy but not impossible either. In fact, Donna said that although taking care of them growing up has been “the most overwhelming task” she’s ever taken on, it never limited them. Even with a full-time job at a bank and two young children who “never stopped moving,” she made sure they both grew up together.
But… how did she do it? She said there is no magic formula that made the two of them grow so close: “I don’t think you cultivate anything. I think the family dynamic is the family dynamic. I didn’t try to force anything,” she said. “All we gave you was opportunity. You guys ran with it. We followed what you wanted, what you thought was good. Unless it was against the law, we let you do pretty much whatever you thought would be fun,” she told her kids.
