Travis Kelce’s post-NFL retirement future revealed – with Chiefs legend commanding 8-FIGURES for new role
TRAVIS Kelce’s life after football has been revealed, and the Kansas City Chiefs icon can earn a pretty penny in a new role.
The 11-time NFL Pro Bowl tight end has yet to decide on his future after pondering retirement last season. The Chiefs won’t be in the postseason this year, which is unfamiliar territory for Kelce and company.
The legendary tight end could look to return in the 2026 season but be without Patrick Mahomes for the start of it. Or, the 36-year-old Kelce can retire after a Hall of Fame career and work in the media world, which he and his reps have shown to be open about.
It’s been reported that Kelce is set to be a top candidate for openings in the broadcast booth and command an eight-figure salary, per The Athletic. “I think Travis Kelce is one who, if he retires, definitely could do TV,” The Athletic’s Andrew Marchand said of Kelce in an episode of his Marchand Sports Media podcast.
Kelce is the co-host of New Heights alongside his NFL legendary brother, Jason Kelce. The podcast has been a major hit and brings on popular guests.
Kelce has also been a star on television, as he hosted the Are You Smarter Than a Fifth-Grader? reboot for Prime Video, and made film cameos.
The three-time Super Bowl champion can break down the X’s and O’s and analyze the game of football like Fox NFL’s Rob Gronkowski, who’s also considered to be one of the greatest tight ends of all-time.
But Kelce would be doing it in the broadcast booth instead. “[Kelce’s] a guy who is only going to take a No. 1 job, to me,” Marchand said. “He’s going to get anywhere from 10 to 20 million, because he’s Travis Kelce.”
Kelce isn’t the only current member in the NFL world who could be joining the media very soon. AFC North coaches, Baltimore Ravens‘ John Harbaugh and Pittsburgh Steelers‘ Mike Tomlin, have been tipped to be part of the media.
