Patrick Mahomes and Travis Kelce team up for a major Thanksgiving announcement
Patrick Mahomes and Travis Kelce are continuing to redefine what it means to be teammates – both on and off the field.
The Kansas City Chiefs icons have announcd that their new restaurant, 1587 Prime, will officially open on Thursday, November 27, offering fans a luxurious Thanksgiving dining experience just hours before the Chiefs take on the Cowboys in one of the NFL’s biggest holiday games.
The announcement confirmed that the high-end steakhouse – named after their jersey numbers, 15 and 87 – will open reservations on November 4 at 10:00 CST. Seats are expected to sell out immediately as Kansas City fans look to celebrate Thanksgiving with their favorite NFL duo.
A premium experience crafted by Mahomes and Kelce
Situated inside the Loews Hotel in downtown Kansas City, 1587 Prime combines elegance, sports culture, and local pride. Both Mahomes and Kelce have been personally involved in developing the menu and atmosphere.
Highlights include the “Big Red Wagyu Burger” – a nod to Chiefs head coach Andy Reid – and the “Mahomes Ketchup Flight,” a playful homage to Mahomes’ much-discussed love of ketchup.
Guests can also expect seasonal dishes curated by the restaurant’s executive chef in partnership with hospitality powerhouse Noble 33.
The restaurant’s design mirrors the game-day experience, complete with a player-tunnel-style entrance, a custom lighting display inspired by Arrowhead Stadium, and nods to the Chiefs’ championship legacy.
Thanksgiving football meets Kansas City flavor
The grand opening’s timing – just hours before the Chiefs face the Cowboys – is no coincidence. Patrick Mahomes and Travis Kelce wanted to create a Thanksgiving celebration that unites football, food, and family under one roof.
Their partnership with Noble 33 marks a significant investment in Kansas City’s downtown revival. “This city has given me everything,” Mahomes said earlier this year. “It’s home, and we want to give something back.” Kelce echoed that sentiment, describing Kansas City as “the heartbeat of everything I do.”
The Thanksgiving menu will feature local ingredients and holiday classics reimagined through a Kansas City lens, while select proceeds are expected to benefit regional charities – including initiatives supported by the Patrick and Brittany Mahomes Foundation and Kelce’s Eighty-Seven and Running Foundation.

Building their legacy off the field
With Mahomes already part-owner of the Kansas City Royals and Sporting Kansas City, and Kelce continuing to expand his media profile – from Saturday Night Live appearances to business ventures – 1587 Prime represents the next phase of their evolving brand.
The opening symbolizes how the Chiefs stars are using their platform to shape Kansas City’s cultural identity. What began as a quarterback-tight end connection has evolved into a partnership that spans championships, community, and now cuisine.
As the Kansas City Chiefs prepare to battle the Dallas Cowboys on Thanksgiving, Patrick Mahomes and Travis Kelce will also be serving up a different kind of victory – one that celebrates food, family, and the city that made them legends.
