Teair Tart has no regrets about slapping Travis Kelce and sends him a message that will leave Swifties ‘hurt’

Teair Tart showed no remorse after slapping Travis Kelce in Brazil, instead doubling down with a defiant message aimed at both the Chiefs star and Taylor Swift’s fans, leaving Swifties frustrated despite the Chargers’ victory.
The altercation occurred midway through the third quarter of the NFL’s Sao Paulo opener. Kelce shoved Tart after contact on a play, and the Chargers defensive tackle immediately responded with an open-hand slap to the face.
Officials ultimately penalized Tart with unnecessary roughness, but no ejection followed with mitigating circumstances due to the fact that he chose to use an open palm instead of a closed fist.
The incident quickly spread online, where many Kansas City supporters, and Taylor Swift’s fan base, demanded harsher punishment as messages directed at Tart flooded social media, though the player refused to step back.
Hours after the Chargers’ 27-21 win, Tart turned the attention back onto Kelce and his critics as he posted on Instagram: “I’m too swift with it even in Brazil… not all hero’s wear capes.”
It was perhaps a very thinly veiled reference to Kelce’s fiancée and the international popstar, Taylor Swift, who is a regular at the Arrowhead Stadium and the highlights reel even included him slapping Travis.
It also showed a deflection of a pass from Patrick Mahomes as he celebrated his performance, controversial or not, on the night in South America and seemed to have little regrets.
Interestingly, Tart had earlier mocked Kelce by sharing a “Chappelle’s Show” skit featuring Rick James slapping Charlie Murphy, adding laughing emojis to underline his point as he seemed to take the encounter personally.
The sixth-year veteran also finished with two passes defended and one tackle, as Los Angeles ended a seven-game losing streak against their divisional rivals and took an early lead in the AFC West, although the Las Vegas Raiders and Denver Broncos are yet to play.
The rivalry now shifts to December 14, when the Chargers travel to Arrowhead Stadium for a Week 15 rematch and if both teams remain in contention, the meeting could carry decisive weight in the AFC West race.
And the tension between Tart and Kelce will be unavoidable, with the potential for another major incident to flare up between the pair when they meet in Kansas City, Missouri.
