Angel Reese Sets the Stage for Chicago Sky’s Big Game on Tuesday

The Chicago Sky are coming off another embarrassing blowout loss against their biggest rivals, the Indiana Fever. After suffering a 93-58 defeat in their season opener, the Sky lost again on Saturday, 79-52, despite playing at home and the Fever not having the services of the injured Caitlin Clark.

Things only get tougher for the Sky as they prepare to battle the defending champs, the New York Liberty, in a road game on Tuesday. Chicago is currently 2-5 on the season, and while they will be looking to improve on this record, there’s no denying that this will be a significant challenge for them as they face off against Sabrina Ionescu and Co.

The Sky are already in New York for Tuesday’s marquee matchup. On Monday, Angel Reese took to Instagram to set the stage for the big game. She posted an artistic photo from outside the Barclays Center in Brooklyn, which is the Liberty’s home stadium.

Reese did not have any caption for her Instagram story, but she did geo-tag New York City in her post.

The former LSU star will be looking to bounce back after a forgettable performance in the Fever game. Reese registered four points on 2-of-7 shooting in the blowout against Indiana, but she did manage to secure 12 boards to keep her incredible rebounding streak going.

The Sky will need more from their All-Star forward on Tuesday against the Liberty and moving forward if Chicago wants to keep their playoff hopes alive this season.
