Patrick Mahomes and the Kansas City Chiefs improved to 12-1 after beating the division rival Los Angeles Chargers 19-17 on “Sunday Night Football” thanks to a walk-off field goal. Like many games this season, Mahomes didn’t have his best statistical performance against Jim Harbaugh’s defense, but he finished the night completing 24-of-37 passes for 210 yards and a touchdown while being sacked three times.
After the game, the two-time NFL MVP spoke to NBC sideline reporter Melissa Stark, flanked by two of his teammates: Kicker Matthew Wright and Pro Bowl defensive tackle Chris Jones. While mentioning that Jones’ presence has been a “common factor” in the Chiefs’ nine-year streak of winning the AFC West, Mahomes let out an awkward laugh that caught the attention of a lot of fans on social media.
“Nah even Patrick Mahomes laugh is DIABOLICAL ðŸ˜,” a popular aggregator account wrote. “WHY DOES PATRICK MAHOMES LAUGH LIKE THAT!?!? HELP!!!! 🤣😂ðŸ˜ðŸ˜ðŸ˜.” a fan added.  “Bruh why Mahomes laugh like that 💀,” another account wrote. “Patrick Mahomes laugh > Kawhi Leonards laugh 😂,” someone suggested.

With the loss, the Chargers dropped to 8-5, tied with the Denver Broncos for second place in the division. Kansas City, meanwhile, has four games to play as they look to lock up the AFC’s No. 1 seed and home field advantage throughout the playoffs. Next up is a road game against Jameis Winston and the Cleveland Browns (3-10) next Sunday.
