Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce’s relationship continues to dominate headlines despite the fact the couple started dating back in September 2023. It doesn’t look as though that will be stopping anytime soon either with The U.S. Sun reporting a play about their relationship could hit Broadway as soon as next year.
An insider has revealed that a Canadian-American writing duo have already put together a play about the couple and are hopeful their show will hit the stage next summer. The source claims that the show would focus on their relationship, how they met and everything that’s happened since over the course of 75 minutes for one of entertainment and sports’ biggest couples.
“Travis particularly struck the writers,” the insider stated. “They see him as the guy next door. Not a fashion model or a beautiful actor, but a hard-working athlete who has fought to the top. “If it works in New York, the plan is to take the show to London, Paris, Tokyo and beyond.” There is one small caveat though: the writers still have to get the green light from Travis and Taylor. It already has a proposed budget of $7.5 million, with the writers hoping to tour the USA and the world if it becomes popular.
Travis has his eyes set on Hollywood
News of a broadway show about his life would likely come as music to the ears of Kelce, who reportedly has his eyes set on a Hollywood career once his time in the NFL comes to an end. He and brother Jason have already been offered the chance to star in a big-budget action movie, while Travis and Taylor have also been flooded with “offers and ideas”. Back in October, the U.S. Sun revealed that Taylor had been offered the chance to join Travis in ‘Happy Gilmore 2’.

While Swift didn’t take up that offer, the prospect of being the subject of a Broadway hit has caught the attention of the singer and her boyfriend. “They are both huge fans of plays and shows and see a Broadway show as something that could be one of the most creative experiences ever,” said the source. “Travis is really into acting and enjoys the spotlights, whether on TV, podcasts, or at public events.
“Taylor loves Broadway shows in general. “She’s been a fan forever. They are also massive New York lovers, so that would be a fantastic opportunity to do something big in the Big Apple.”
