CBS has come under fire after furious NFL fans accused the network of editing out a player’s Donald Trump-inspired celebration on Sunday. During their clash with the Miami Dolphins, Las Vegas Raiders tight end Brock Bowers celebrated a superb 20-yard touchdown run by performing the famous Trump dance, which is proving very popular across the league right now.
Bowers’ celebration was captured by CBS on its live broadcast of the game, while the NFL also posted a clip of both his touchdown and the dance that followed on social media. Yet in their own social-media post, CBS opted to share a shorter video which ends just before the Raiders star pulls out Trump’s notorious two-handed shuffle.
Fans were left seething after watching the clip, with many claiming the broadcasters purposely decided to cut it in order to leave Bowers’ celebration out. ‘Cutting out the Trump dance celebration? Wow. This is why CBS is a joke,’ one user said on X.

Another asked CBS: ‘Why did you edit out the Trump dance?’ A third said about Trump winning the election: ‘CBS. This is why he won. You’re part of the problem. Review your code of ethics.’ ‘You clowns edited out the Trump dance TD celebration. LMAO!!’ laughed a fourth.
While one simply wrote: ‘CBS sucks!’ DailyMail.com has reached out to CBS for comment. Trump, who completed one of the most astonishing political comebacks of all time after trouncing Kamala Harris in this month’s election, fumed that CBS News should lose its license and be forced off air after it favorably edited a 60 Minutes interview with the Democratic nominee last month.
The 78-year-old was livid that the network posted to YouTube a version of an interview with Harris that edited out her ‘word salad’ answer on the Israel-Hamas war that was widely criticized on social media when the episode originally aired.
‘A giant Fake News Scam by CBS & 60 Minutes,’ Trump wrote on Truth Social. ‘Her real answer was crazy, or dumb, so they actually replaced it with another answer in order to save her or, at least, make her look better. A fake news scam, which is totally illegal. ‘Take away the CBS license,’ he demanded in all caps, adding: ‘Election Interference.’
CBS is not alone in facing accusations of anti-Trump bias, with Detroit Lions fans also hitting out at the team’s own social media for leaving out defensive end Za’Darius Smith’s dance in a clip that shows him celebrating a big sack on Sunday. After Bowers was asked about imitating Trump’s signature dance in a postgame press conference, the Raiders also reportedly ended his time with the media.
He did not reference Trump by name when asked about his decision to pay homage to the future president. Yet, that proved the final question he took from the media before Las Vegas staff appeared to intervene. DailyMail.com has reached out to the Raiders for comment about ending Bowers’ interview early, with no immediate response.
The Trump-dance craze is sweeping through both the NFL and other sports in the wake of his election victory. San Francisco 49ers defensive end Nick Bosa, who was recently fined for wearing a ‘Make America Great Again’ cap in a postgame interview, was first to pull out the dance after a sack in their game against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers last weekend.
And like Bowers, Tennessee Titans wide receiver Calvin Ridley and Lions star Smith also followed Bosa’s lead by celebrating big plays on Sunday with moves inspired by the President-elect. UFC heavyweight king Jon Jones performed Trump’s dance at UFC 309 on Saturday night after defeating Stipe Miocic in New York’s Madison Square Garden.
In one hilarious moment, Trump was assessing his surroundings before cage-side before Village People’s YMCA song blasted through the arena – and the president elect couldn’t help himself. The Republican took it upon himself to have a dance and was seen punching the air to the chorus as fans lapped up the moment.
And when Jones won the main event by knocking out Miocic with a brutal roundhouse kick, he celebrated by performing the dance to Trump in the front row. After leaving the cage, the UFC Heavyweight champion made his way over to where Trump was sitting with Elon Musk and handed him his championship belt.
