Kansas City Chiefs head coach Andy Reid spoke to reporters on Monday for his weekly Zoom press conference. He addressed the team’s recent loss to the Buffalo Bills, which ended its chances at an undefeated record.
“I go forward and try to exhaust what team we’re playing, and I present that to the players that way and expect them to do the same. So I don’t really hear a lot of that talk from them or think they care too much about that, other than exhausting yourself the best you can to prepare yourself for that team there that week.” Reid said. “Then you get to a point where you say, Listen, I’ve done everything I possibly can. Here’s a product. And you go play.”
The Chiefs have maintained the mindset that the goal is another Super Bowl, not perfection, as they prepare for this Sunday’s game against the Carolina Panthers. Kansas City holds a half-game lead over the Bills for the top spot in the AFC, with Buffalo on a bye in Week 12.
