Philadelphia Eagles wide receiver A.J. Brown shared a heartwarming moment with his son Arthur Brown Jr. on Thursday night while warming up for his team’s divisional matchup against the Washington Commanders.  The three-time Eagles Pro-Bowler paused while having a catch with his teammates to hand a football to his son A.J. Brown Jr. While the elder Brown was just in short sleeves, Brown Jr. was decked out in a thick puffer jacket for the brisk Philadelphia evening.

Brown slowly jogged away as his two-year-old son chased him away. Brown Jr. was born in September of 2022, the youngest of three two children in the Brown family. “  “That’s friggin adorable,” commented one fan on the NFL’s X account where the video was shared.  “2046 offensive player of the year,” joked another. “Nice to see him and Emmanuel Forbes getting along before the game,” one fan said, referencing Brown’s success against the Commanders cornerback.

“When I go home, I’m a father. When I’m in the building, I’m working,” Brown told the Philly Inquirer on his relationship with his kids.  “Once the kids go to bed, I do what I need to do to get ready for the game. Sleep is tough. It’s been a tough 48 hours. But I’ll make sure I get some rest before the game.”

Brown’s eldest child is his daughter Jersee, who his wife welcomed into the world in May of 2020. “My little girl, she’s amazing. She’s the reason I’m still going today,” Brown said in 2021. “I don’t even have the words for it. She gives me strength, she’s who I play for.”  The Tennessee Titans selected Brown in the second round of the 2019 NFL Draft. He was an immediate success in Motown, tallying 1,051 receiving yards and eight touchdowns in his rookie campaign as the Titans reached the AFC Championship Game.

He was traded to the Eagles ahead of the 2022 season for a first-round pick and promptly signed a four-year, $100 million contract. He earned Second-team All-Pro honors as he caught 88 passes for 1,496 yards.  He tallied another 1,400+ yard Second-team All-Pro campaign in 2023 and, despite leaving Philadelphia’s game against Jacksonville early, has 553 receiving yards in just six 2024 contests.

Brown was named the 21st player in the league by his fellow players entering the 2024 season, his third time featuring in the NFL Top 100.  Brown inked a further three-year, $96 million extension with the franchise in April to stay in Philadelphia until at least 2029.
