Life is different now for NFL GOAT Tom Brady than it was last year. In 2022, he was still playing in the NFL at the age of 45, still leading the Tampa Bay Buccaneers as their QB. And on the sidelines, he had Gisele Bündchen, who would always be there to show her constant support for Brady. And now, cut to 2023, the NFL GOAT is retired from the league. Not only this, but he is also divorced from Bündchen. As he navigates this fresh path in life, Tom Brady has been embracing his entrepreneurial side, making investments in various sports to bolster his $300 million net worth.
But do you know, there were rumors of the NFL GOAT gearing up for another unique profession? A profession that is excelled by Bill Burr, but is totally out of the box for the 7X Super Bowl champion.
Tom Brady in stand-up comedy?
The 45-year-old hung up his cleats for good earlier this year in February. And he also postponed his $375 million 10-year FOX deal as an analyst to 2024. And reports claimed that Brady was looking forward to patching things up with Gisele Bündchen, with whom he shared 13 years of marriage.
According to an article by The Sun, the NFL GOAT was looking forward to an opportunity to enter the entertainment business. Reports claimed that Tom Brady was looking forward to embracing his funny side and shooting his shot with stand-up comedy. While the idea of the NFL GOAT tickling the funny bones is definitely intriguing, Brady came up to deny these rumors. As per TMZ, Brady has no interest and does not see stand-up comedy as a second career choice.
While fans would have been looking forward to seeing the 7X Super Bowl champion in stand-up comedy, his friends feel otherwise.
Brady’s friends do not endorse the idea of him being a stand-up comedian
After retiring in February, Tom Brady has been building on his post-retirement life. He’s spending more time with his children while figuring out his next checkpoint. And OK Magazine reported that after Jane Fonda and Lily Tomlin praise him for ‘80 For Brady’, he felt more inclined towards the stand-up comedy scene. But according to a source who claims to be Brady’s friend, he needs to “toss this idea before it’s too late.” The source stated that the 45-year-old did well reading professionally written scripts, but stand-up comedy is a whole different ball game. It requires spontaneous creativity. The source said, “As a comic-he’s strictly a water boy.”
While the idea of Tom Brady tickling the funny bones of fans on stage is put behind, one cannot help but wonder, would it have actually been a success for the 7X Super Bowl champion? What do you think? Let us know in the comments below.
