After the game, Allen, who had four turnovers, touched on the heartbreaking loss and took ownership of the defeat.  “It’s extremely difficult,” Allen said at the podium as he shed tears.

“Feel like I let my teammates down tonight.  “… It’s been a long season. Hate how it ended.  “It’s gonna stick with me for a long time.

There were questionable calls toward the end of the game, including a pass interference call that placed Denver into field goal range to drill the game-winning kick.

When asked about the calls, Allen said, “I mean, losing that way, regardless, losing in the playoffs is not fun.”  “You shoot yourselves in the foot like that, you don’t deserve to win a football match.”

The Broncos’ game-winning drive came after safety Ja’Quan McMillan intercepted Allen’s downfield pass in overtime.  McMillan wrestled the ball away from Brandin Cooks for the interception.

The play was controversial as Bills head coach Sean McDermott believed that Cooks had secured possession of the ball and his knee was down, making it a catch.

Still, the Bills once again failed to reach the Super Bowl with Allen under center, even with Patrick Mahomes and Lamar Jackson not in the playoffs.

Denver will host the AFC Championship game next week and play the winner of the Houston Texans-New England Patriots Divisional round matchup.
