Dave Roberts reveals the formula for a World Series comeback although the Dodgers are now in trouble
The Game 5 of the World Series and last one played at Dodger Stadium began with an offensive by the Toronto Blue Jays that immediately hit the starter of the Los Angeles Dodgers, Blake Snell, from his first pitch with a home run by Davis Schneider, but it did not end there, the second in the batting order, Vladimir Guerrero Jr., hit a back-to-back home run that set the tone for the game.
The score was 6-1 in favor of Toronto, who took the lead in the World Series with three games to two over the Dodgers, who now travel to Dodger Stadium needing to win the sixth game and thus extend the series to a seventh game that will be definitive to know the MLB 2025 champion. However, at the end of Game 5, Dave Roberts expressed his confidence in the squad to turn things around and win their second ring in a row

Dave Roberts trusts Yoshinobu Yamamoto and to recover the competitive spirit in the Dodgers
Far from being defeated, Dave Roberts showed his optimism ahead of Game 6 of the World Series at Rogers Centre, Canada, showing full confidence in his squad who will be looking to win two games as visitors:
I know we can give more. We’ve won two games in a row before, but it all comes down to one. I hope Yamamoto pitches well, and we have to have good at-bats and play clean ball
“It spiraled on us with guys on base.”

The manager also spoke about the mistakes the Dodgers made, such as their lack of hitting, a problem that limited the team during the last few games:
They find a way to connect hits and we don’t. Yesavage combined his fastball, slider and split well, but we still have to use the whole field and take what they give us
He also added that rest can play a key factor in the team, but especially in one of its best players: Mookie Betts, making it clear that “it’s not just Mookie’s fault, everyone has to pull their weight”, hoping that the entire lineup will contribute offensively and help them stay in the fight for the World Series.
What adjustments does Dave Roberts plan to make? Dodgers manager reveals formula to survive in Toronto in World Series
Ahead of Game 6 in Toronto, Dave Roberts plans to review the lineup and reinforce the mentality of the entire team so that the players are focused on the Dodgers’ goal:
I haven’t had time to think about it. I’ll do whatever I think is best to win. Regardless of who takes the field, we all have to have good at-bats. That’s what I trust
The strategist also stressed the importance of staying focused and playing without giving away outs, seeking to inspire a group that has been able to rise to the occasion in decisive moments and especially in elimination scenarios:
A characteristic of our team is that we don’t give away many outs or bases, but tonight we did, and that changes everything. We have to play accurately and take advantage of every opportunity
