Shohei Ohtani silences Blue Jays fans and proves once again why he is the best player in one of the longest games in history

After receiving chants during his visit to Toronto, Shohei Ohtani responded in the way he knows best. The Blue Jays fans missed out on enjoying the player who, to this day, is the best baseball player on the planet, and to their misfortune, he could be the one to deny them a World Series title they haven’t won since 1993.  Just one day after pitching and also influencing that facet of his game, the Japanese star Shohei Ohtani simply responded with a marvelous performance, saving theLos Angeles Dodgers right when they needed him most.  Simply Shohei Ohtani – the best player on the planet.

One year after winning his first World Series – and where he perhaps didn’t contribute in the way they expected – Shohei Ohtani in this Game 3 of the 2025 World Series simply stunned the entire world and left several people wondering why they keep insisting on facing him when we already know the final outcome.  By the seventh inning, the Los Angeles Dodgers star was 4-for-4 with two doubles and two home runs, including the one that tied the game 5-5. Absolute madness.

And under this scenario, we can say that only the Dodgers can prevent themselves from winning the World Series, because they have the best player in MLB.  To the Blue Jays’ bad luck, it seems there isn’t a pitcher in their ranks who can dominate the Japanese sensation Shohei Ohtani, because beyond being an average MLB player, he is a true threat to any pitcher (we must remember that at this level, the best are competing).

One day later, Shohei Ohtani will try to leave his mark as a pitcher, just recalling that the last time he took the mound, he hit three home runs – another of the Japanese star’s magical nights – and this is where he could define whether he’ll steer the World Series in the Dodgers’ favor, and also if he’ll win the World Series MVP, because there’s no doubt he deserves it.  The only formula to avoid suffering the damage that Shohei Ohtani can cause is not to face him, but then the questions would start about this situation. How badly would an MLB manager look by deciding not to face him-would he be a coward or a pure strategist

In the end, already in the eighth inning, the Blue Jays decided to intentionally walk Ohtani, which for many was a good decision with the game still tied. The player attempted to steal the base (because he also does this to perfection) but failed when he came off the bag.  In a wild game, Shohei Ohtani became the first player to reach base ninetimes in a World Series game, after improving his stats in this Game 3 to two home runs, two doubles, and fivewalks.

In the eighteenth inning, that’s when the Los Angeles Dodgers decided to win the game, as the local time in Los Angeles was approaching midnight. Freddie Freeman hit a solo home run to once again become the hero of Dave Roberts’ Dodgers. A fleeting celebration with the lead in the World Series, just hours away from Game 4 where Shohei Ohtani will pitch.
