Patrick Mahomes silent on Charlie Kirk’s shooting as his mother Randi supports Tavia Hunt’s reaction

On Wednesday, September 10, prominent conservative commentator Charlie Kirk was fatally shot in the neck while conducting a Q&A session in a makeshift tent on the campus of Utah Valley University (UVU) as part of his “American Comeback Tour.”
Upon impact, he was transported to a hospital, but died of his injuries. He was 31 years old. Charlie, known for founding Turning Point USA, a conservative youth organization, was a very influential figure in American conservative circles.
His death was confirmed a few hours later, when President Donald Trump posted on his Truth Social account the tragic news: “The Great, and even Legendary, Charlie Kirk, is dead. No one understood or had the Heart of the Youth in the United States of America better than Charlie. He was loved and admired by ALL, especially me, and now, he is no longer with us. Melania and my Sympathies go out to his beautiful wife Erika, and family. Charlie, we love you!” Trump wrote.
The tragic event has intensified concerns and reopened the debate about violence and shootings in the United States.
The reaction of Tavia Hunt and Randi Mahomes
The Kansas City Chiefs owner’s wife, Tavia Hunt, was among those who took to her official Instagram account to condemn Kirk’s murder.
Alongside the photograph of Charlie and his wife Erika Frantzve, Tavia added some words of reflection, which she then extended in the copy of the post:
“As a society, we must be reminded that human life is sacred and never disposable. We must learn again to disagree with words, not weapons. That is exactly what Charlie Kirk modeled-he met opposition with dialogue, not violence, and proved that conviction and civility can walk hand in hand. Evil does not have the final word. Jesus does. And because of Him, Charlie’s voice still echoes-calling us to live with conviction, courage, and hope. Well done good and faithful servant,” Hunt wrote next to the image of the couple.
Although neither Patrick Mahomes nor Brittany have spoken out so far, Randi Mahomes followed in the footsteps of Clark Hunt’s wife. The 29-year-old quarterback’s mother, shared on her Instagram stories Tavia’s post in dismay.
Although she did not add texts or emojis, the post and her decision to publish it, said it all. Meanwhile, the investigation is ongoing and authorities are working to determine the suspect in the shooting.
