Philadelphia Eagles’ million-dollar offer for Micah Parsons revealed before his arrival in Green Bay

In the midst of the NFL’s Week 1, an unexpected revelation has emerged, as the Philadelphia Eagles sought to acquire Micah Parsons. However, the Dallas Cowboys did not give in to the million-dollar proposal to avoid strengthening a direct rival in the NFC East.
According to insiders such as Adam Schefter, the franchise offered at least two first-round picks, a third-round pick, a fifth-round pick and additional assets. However, the Cowboys never seriously considered bolstering a divisional rivalParsons’ arrival in Philadelphia would have been a shocking move not only for the team, but for the entire league. The star defensive player would have shared a locker room with Saquon Barkley, another former Nittany Lion who recently signed with the Eagles. However, as we know, Parsons’ final destination was in Green Bay.

Why did Micah Parsons go to Green Bay?
Finally, the Dallas Cowboys agreed to a trade with the Green Bay Packers, who gave up two first-round picks and defensive tackle Kenny Clark in exchange for Parsons
Additionally, the Wisconsin team handed him a historic four-year, $188 million contract extension, making him the highest-paid non-quarterback in NFL history.
For the Cowboys, the decision was strategic: to avoid facing Micah Parsons twice a season within their division. The organization opted to strengthen a NFC North team rather than give their arch-rival an advantage.
Philadelphia Eagles, one of the most ambitious teams this season
The aggressiveness of the Eagles reflects the vision of general manager Howie Roseman, who has built a team willing to invest draft capital to remain competitive at the highest level. The possibility of adding Micah Parsons would have made Philadelphia’s defense one of the most feared in the NFL.
Although the fans dreamed of seeing Parsons dressed in green, the reality is that the defensive player will play in the NFC, but far from the East. For the Eagles, this episode makes it clear that the front office is not afraid to take risks, although this time the result was not favorable.
