Patrick Mahomes and the Kansas City Chiefs returned to the practice facility last week as they kicked off OTAs alongside several other teams across the league. While participation is optional, that didn’t stop Mahomes—or fellow veteran Travis Kelce—from showing up and leading by example, as they look to avenge their tough Super Bowl loss to the Philadelphia Eagles.

On Sunday, the Chiefs responded to a major announcement involving Mahomes and his foundation, 15 and the Mahomies. The quarterback recently hosted a charity golf event and gala in Las Vegas, raising significant funds for the foundation, which is dedicated to improving the lives of children. The initiative primarily focuses on health, wellness, and various charitable causes.

“Patrick recently hosted the annual @15andMahomies Vegas Golf Classic, helping raise funds for the foundation’s charitable efforts through a golf tournament and gala,” the Chiefs posted, attaching several photos from the heartfelt event.

Mahomes has long used his platform as one of the best quarterbacks in the NFL and a leader of the Chiefs organization to give back to the community. This annual event is just one example of the great work he and his dedicated team do year-round through his foundation.

“Thank you to all of our incredible partners who help make this possible. See you next year! @15andMahomies,” Mahomes wrote after the event concluded. “I’m so thankful to everyone who supports us.”  Mahomes and the Chiefs are set to open the NFL regular season in Brazil, where they will face their AFC West rivals, the Los Angeles Chargers, in a Week 1 Friday night showdown.
